ACT! 2009 (11.0) Minimum System Requirements

When you’re in the market for a serious contact management solution, and you’re evaluating ACT! software as your customer database, there are two system specification checklists you’ll want to investigate.

Minimum System Requirements (Client and Server installation)

  • Minimum 600 MHz Pentium III (or equivalent) processor
  • Minimum 1 GB RAM
  • Minimum on Vista and Recommended on XP: 1.8 GHz Pentium IV (or equivalent) processor
  • Minimum on Vista: 2 GB RAM
  • Minimum 1GB of available hard disk space
  • CD-ROM drive
  • SVGA (800×600) or higher resolution monitor

ACT Database Server Installation:

  • Using Microsoft SQL ServerTM 2005 Express Edition: Same as client installation above.
  • Using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition: Same as client installation above except Windows® Server 2003 Web Edition is not supported.
    Note: Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Enterprise, and Vista Ultimate editions limit the number of concurrent users to 10.

Is ACT! compatible with Mac??

Chalyn, it is if you have Windows (Parallels) loaded. I’ve had a few Mac users tell me it works fine, but I’ve not tested it myself.
